Hello everyone! Writing today’s post I was thinking about who was actually invented dry shampoo? Of course, google helped me to find the answer ;-). I am not aware which brand first invented dry shampoo nowadays, but people in Asia used it already in 15th-century (!) in the form of clay powder!
I have fine oily hair and it was so as far as I could remember myself. In order to look presentable I had to wash my hair at least every second day and therefore my morning routine was so time-consuming :-(. With the dry shampoo the problem is finally gone! It reduces my hair greasiness and my hair look fresh and nice for one more day! Dry shampoo became an essential tool for my hair styling and I am very grateful to the inventors of it.
However because I have sensitive skin, I found out that many dry shampoos irritated my skin. I’ve tried dry shampoos from different brands (budget and expensive), but no one was right for me and after a few uses I had to give up since my skin was red and itchy :-(.
When I saw that one of French pharmacy brands (I love pharmacy brands!) Klorane also has dry shampoos in their range – it brought me hope. And yes, they have the best dry shampoos, at least for my skin type! Actually I think that because their dry shampoos get beauty professional awards from time to time, Klorane shampoos suit many people throughout the world.
Although dry shampoo is a wonderful invention, I try to use it reasonably and wash my hair the next day after the use.
Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk – Natural Tint – Brunettes (No sulfates, parabens, silicones or sodium chloride) – This is amazing product for brown to dark hair, because it has natural dark tint! Don’t worry – if you have blonde hair Klorane has the same shampoo without tint 🙂 Spray to the roots, leave it for 2 minutes and then brush your hair. For better results you can also use the hair dryer to style your hair afterwards.
As usual, if I love one product from the brand, I’ll give a try to their other products.
Shampoo with Flax Fiber – Fine Hair (it is Paraben-free, Silicone-free, SLS-free, Vegan, Biodegradable formula)
Flex fibers are often used in anti-aging skin care products, but because of it volumizing properties the hair care product producers also started to use it recently in shampoos and conditioners.
Conditioner with Flax Fiber – Fine Hair (it is Sulfate-free, Paraben-free, Silicone-free, Vegan, Biodegradable formula). Because my hair roots becomes greasy very easily, I apply conditioner to hair lengths and ends only, avoiding the hair roots. In this way it works best ;-).
In fact, because I am using many volumizing hair care products, I can’t say which one is giving the most volume. I think that my hair get volumizing effect from the whole range of products I am using, including hair styling products.
If you have fine hair, I would appreciate if you share your favorite products, that make your hair look thicker. Many thanks in advance! 🙂 Cheers!
